"Your Crash" Music Video Launch - Thoughts, Day 2

I haven't done this blogging thing in a while, so we'll see how this goes...

Back in 2005 I wrote "Your Crash" after hearing the stories of people whose lives "crashed" in Hurricane Katrina. When the song came about, I honestly did not fully realize the extent of what people went through. Through the writing process I began to understand more about the devastation and the song really began to carry great meaning for me. It is truly honoring when people come up to me after shows (sometimes in tears) telling me how they have connected with my lyrics. I feel very blessed to be able to connect with people through my music.

I really hope the expression and message in "Your Crash" is magnified through this music video. In all honesty, I am a little concerned that this creative endeavor will... flop. There are many risks involved in what I do, but this one seems to be a bit bigger than most day-to-day adventures. This is uncharted territory for me, and I hope to do well. On the other hand I am reassured that I have a team of talented professionals and, more importantly, awesome friends to help me accomplish this project. My concerns are, for the most part, overshadowed by my confidence in the people I am working with (no pressure, you guys).

I REALLY appreciate the amazing support I have received so far on this project. I have such a great group of friends and fans that have encouraged me along the way. You guys allow me to keep doing what I do. Thank you.

If you haven't checked out the video and project info yet, please do so at www.RocketHub.com. I am very excited about it!! There are different levels of support and different REWARDS for each level. Please consider helping out.

Even if you are not in a position to support financially, I hope you'll still follow the process. I am going to be blogging, Twittering, Facebooking, and Foursquaring as this project moves forward. I hope you'll join me!
