Greetings from the sky!
As I type this blog, I am on a plane on my way to one of several colleges out West! This particular trip has me on six different flights and four layovers so I am getting plenty of time in front of my trusty Mac.
If you've been following any of my posts, updates, tweets, or emails lately, you know that I just released my EP "Crash" January 4th. (Check it out here: www.kurtcobie.com/buy). I can't express enough how grateful and pleased I am with the way things are going with that. You all have given me great feedback and reviews on the CD and my music is reaching new ears! Thank you.
So, the CD is out. Now what? Well… a LOT. With my travels west I am meeting GREAT new people and gaining new fans. It is all pretty exciting. In January I was out in Denver (for the first time) at Johnson & Wales University. The folks out there were superb! They were really nice and even offered to take me skiing, but my trip was just too short. I guess I'll just have to go back. Whatd'ya say, Denver?? I must say, Colorado has set the bar pretty high (about a mile high). I hope these other destinations are up to the challenge (this means you Montana, Washington, Idaho, California & Oregon). I expect amazing.
Along with these college shows I am finding out that some college, indie, internet, and public radio stations have begun playing my new tunes! It is QUITE exciting to hear your own music on the radio for the first time. And there are more and more stations jumping on board each week. If you have a favorite station where you think my music might fit, let them know. You could be responsible for bringing my music to hundreds… thousands… MILLIONS of new people (really hoping for that last one). :) If you hear one of my songs on the radio, make sure you let me know about it (Facebook / Twitter).
Exciting, right?! If I weren't on a plane full of business people I would be giggling like a 4 -year-old girl and peeing my pants right now. Just kidding… a little.
Oh, and the fun doesn't stop there. I have MORE exciting things coming up which I'll be announcing soon (Official Music Video anyone?).
