Out of Hiding

Out of Hiding
November 24, 2014
Since I first heard Steffany Gretzinger (then Steffany Frizzell), I was a fan. The passion and power in her voice has inspired me as a singer and worshiper. And her new album "The Undoing" has inspired me as a songwriter.

Today, her song "Out of Hiding" has been on repeat. Every line pierces right to my heart. I love songs, like this one, that speak life and hope.
"Oh as you run,
What hindered love,
Will only become
Part of the story"
If you haven't yet heard her music, I implore you to stop reading this and listen to the song (lyric video is below). I'll wait...

(still waiting)...

So good.

More than anything else these days, I believe this is the message we need to hear. That Jesus is calling each person "out of hiding". That he sees the things we try to hide. That he loves us regardless. That he desires to be with us, regardless of where we've been and what we've done.

To encourage us to keep going. To urge us to "don't quit now". Because when we choose to come home to Him, he runs out to meet us when we are still a long way off. He embraces us. He kisses us. He celebrates! He says;

"Bring quickly the best robe, and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet. And bring the fattened calf and kill it, and let us eat and celebrate. For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found." - Luke 15:22-24
